SLC has paid a sum of Rs 7.5 lakhs for purchase of official ‘ties’

When the Sri Lanka had announced that they are in a severe financial crisis, the authorities have paid a sum of Rs 7.5 lakhs for purchase of a stock of ‘SLC’ ties.
It is reported through reliable sources that in the pretext of the South African cricket tour this consignment of ties had been purchased for this huge sum. It is learnt that one tie had been given to each member of the executive committee and the members selected for tours both the National and the ‘A’ teams are to be given a tie apiece.
The executive committee members have told that they have received a ‘tie’ for each person but were not aware as to how much had been invested on them
