Uni student badly injured in fall from 5th floor

A 23-year-old student of the Colombo University Science Faculty was admitted to the National Hospital a short while ago after she fell from its 5th floor.

Hospital authorities said she was rushed to the operating theatre and was undergoing surgery.

Police spokesman SP Buddhika Siriwardena said the cause of the accident was not known.

She is a resident of Lunugamwehera.

Cinnamon Gardens police are investigating.
