Woman stabbed to death by husband

A woman was stabbed and killed using a sharp object in the Amunukola area in Galgamuwa while police suspect her husband over the murder.

Investigations have revealed that the murder was committed by the victim’s husband, who had attempted to commit suicide following the incident, Galgamuwa Police said.

However, the suspect has fled the area after the killing while police have launched investigations to track down and arrest him.
