Nirosha Wimalaratne who was arrested in August with a snake in her possession at a night club in Colombo, yesterday(Dec 11) took possession of her snake at the Colombo Zoological Gardens as per the directive of the Colombo Fort Magistrate. The Magistrate ordered that the cobra be released to Nirosha as the charges against her, under ‘Cruelty to Animals,’ were not proven.
