Doctors are against the request to transfer DIG Vass back to the National hospital
It is reported that the doctors are opposed to the request made by the senior officers of Welikada Prison Hospital to transfer DIG Vass Gunawardena back to the National Hospital as there are issues that had arose regarding the security.
The doctors are informed that there might be threats to him from external parties and the Prison officers cannot provide him proper security.
But a doctor from the prison hospital has stated that the teams of the doctors are ready to treat him as he has been transferred from National Hospital to Prison Hospital.
The doctor has explained that DIG is secured inside the hospital and it is the duty of Prison officers to assure his security outside the hospital.
