| Prisoner committed suicide at Bambalapitiya police station, police media spokesman Budhhika Siriwardene said. |
| This suspect has arrested over stealing parts of vehicles. The prisoner had allegedly committed suicide with the use of a cloth that was granted to him to clean up his prison cell after his glass of tea had spilt over. Suspect is resident of Kothena area. Bambalapitiya police arrest the suspect several times and later on released him on police bail. |
