‘Kapruka’ nabbed for selling foreign liquor via the internet
A group of people from ‘Kapruka’ had imported foreign liquor without paying excise duty and through various channels and the internet had sold the liquor imported. The company in named as ‘Kapruka’ and is housed in Kirilapona.
On a tip off this institution had been cordoned by the Police and had recovered a large quantity of foreign liquor. This was revealed by the authorities of the excise department.
The suspects who were arrested are residents of Kiribathgoda and Colombo. The office had been housed in Kirilapona and the deals have been made via the internet to dealers in various parts of the country was revealed by the inspectors of the excise department. The Excise inspectors have taken into custody over 1000 bottles of foreign liquor.
