A new office train service between Colombo and Kurunegala will commence today, Transport Ministry sources said.

The Colombo-Kurunegala office train is an express train and stopped at only main railway stations inconveniencing passengers.

The new office train will stop at all stations up to Polgahawela. It will also stop at Yagoda, Pallewela, Keenawala, Wandurawa, Magalegoda, Bemmulla, Horape, Ederamulla, Wanawasala, Kelaniya, Dematagoda, Maradana and Fort.

The train will leave Kurunegala at 6.25am and arrive at Fort at 8.38am. The train will leave in the evening at 4.40pm and reach Kurunegala at 6.43pm.
