Health officials say that there is a likelihood of a Dengue epidemic breaking out in the Western Province.

Director of Health Services in the Western Province, Dr. Amal Harsha de Silva said that mosquito density in the Colombo, Kalutara and Gampaha districts has increased. 

He said the prevailing weather conditions were the main cause for this situation.
