The crude oil in the world market has come down,the consumers should get a benefit
A barrel of crude oil is US $ 81, fuel prices could be slashed
The Secretary of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation’s Jathika Sevaka Sangamaya, Ananda Palitha says that a barrel of crude oil is US$ 81 and a refined barrel of oil is 112US$.Hence this advantage should given in favour of the consumers he had added.
On an earlier occasion the petroleum corporation had increased the prices of petrol, when the prices of crude oil in the world market increased. On that occasion the barrel of crude oils was US $119 a barrel of refined oil was 131US$.
In the context of the above, Ananda Palitha wants the government to reduce the prices of oil and if it is not done to furnish facts to the consumers.
