Colombo’s garbage to Meetotamulla site to be reduced drastically
Colombo’s garbage to be recycled for a useful purpose through a recycling process.
The Colombo’s Municipal Commissioner Badrani Gunawardena has commented that very soon the Colombo’s garbage would be recycled and used for a purposeful exercise. The plans in this connection are been planned to be implemented.
She went on to stress that initially the garbage would be classified into two categories. One would be those which get rusted and the other that do not get rusted. The Municipal Commissioner Badrani Gunawardena quipped that initially the amount of garbage that is taken to the Meetotamulla garbage site would get reduced drastically.
She is hoping via this exercise the weight of the quantity of garbage taken to Meetotamulla would get reduced by about 150 tonnes. She said that talks and discussions are been made as to the plan of action to be taken subsequently.
