A Royal College student had fallen into swimming pool, is treated at the ICU
A boy from Royal College had fallen into the swimming pool had been admitted to the National hospital. His condition according the cinnamon gardens Police is rather serious.
This boy who is studying in grade 9 is a scout. The police had revealed as his condition is serious he is treated at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
It is learnt that at the time he well into the pool there had been a number boys inside the pool.
The Director of the National Hospital Dr Anil Jasinghe had pronounced that the condition of the boy is critical. He is been treated in the ICU and it is learnt that the required amount of oxygen is not travelling into his brain.
The principal of Royal College Upali Gunasekara had added that on Saturdays the swimming pool is reserved exclusively for the scouts. This had been a tradition and taking place for a long time .At the time the incident took place the other scouts had come to is rescue in taking him to the hospital. The Principal had got the assistance of old boys who are doctors to attend to him. ( Colombo City Life News )
