Arsenic in Parliament food?

Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa has said that an inquiry has been launched to determine whether food served in the Parliament had contained arsenic. 

At the beginning of proceeding today the Speaker informed Parliament that several food items served yesterday were removed before consumption and that they will be tested for arsenic.

Meanwhile today is the final day of the Second Reading Debate on the Budget 2013. The vote on second reading will take place today (November 17) at 6.00pm.
