Ten new hotels on the way
Steps have been taken to set up ten new hotels consisting of 676 rooms in the Galle district within the next four years.
Southern Province Minister of Tourism, U.G.D. Ariyathilake said that last year alone 225,000 tourists had visited the district.
He noted that the new hotels are being built with the aim of increasing this figure to 700,000 visitors.
