Prostitution ring busted
The police busted a prostitution ring operating in the Slave Island area today, the police media unit said.
The police said that women were being supplied to the clients using a van.
A special police unit seized the van along Hunnupitiya road at Slave Island today.
The police also arrested a woman who was believed to have been in charge of the operation.
The police said that four women who were engaged in prostitution were also arrested.
The Slave Island police are conducting further investigations.
