TV actress released on personal bails
Television actress, Maneesha Shyamali Namalgama, suspected of swindling Rs 100,000 by using a stolen credit card, was released by Fort Magistrate, Thilina Gamage, on two personal bails of Rs 50,000 each.
The actress had been apprehended following a tip-off to the Colpetty Police by Sarangi Wickremepathirana, the daughter of Edmon Wickremepathirana, the person under whose name the credit card had been issued. Edmon Wickremepathirana had passed away some time ago. Maneesha Namalgama was ordered to be present in Court on 12 September, when the case will be called again.
