The price of imported milk powder to be increased?
A number of importers of milk powder in Sri Lanka have made a request from the Consumers Authority to increase the prices of milk powder.
They have also requested to decrease the import tax of Rs 107/-from the government. It is learnt that the amount of milk powder manufactured has come down The price of a metric tonne of milk powder was between US$ 3500 to US$ 4000.It has now been increased to US$ 5000.it is reliably learnt.
