Television rights sold to ‘Ten Sports’ for US $ 25.5 M

A cricket tour of the India cricket team to be held for a duration of nearly two months in the year 2017.The Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation has taken a decision to sell the television rights amounting to US$ m 25.5 amounting to Rs 3180 lakhs.
It is learnt the ‘Ten Sports’ television channel has agreed to accept this offer. For this tour two Tests, five One day Internationals and two T20/20 matches are to be played. This agreement is to be signed with the Chairman of the SLC Jayantha Dharmadasa It is also reported that the previous Chairman Upali Dharmadasa had already consented for this deal.
