Rs 4 lahks worth of drugs delivered to a discharged mental patient’s house
A mental patient from Angoda given Rs 4 lakhs worth drugs
The Ministry of Health has commenced investigations in regard to a complaint made that an expensive drug to the tune of 4 lakhs had been purchased by the hospital authorities to a patient after he was discharged and the drugs had been delivered to his home .
The Ministerial sources claim that this expensive drug had been purchased flouting the normal hospital regulations has been mentioned in the complaint made to the Ministry of Health.
This drug is a vaccine which is not usually purchased by hospitals. But in the event it is essential the patient’s relatives are requested to purchase it from outside and bring it to the ward. However in contrast the hospital had purchased this drug spending a sum of Rs 4 lakhs had been clearly stated in the complaint made to the Ministry.
