Bus fare hike to take effect from the April 20th
It is certain that the bus fare hike would take effect from the 20 th of April as the Minister C.B Ratnayake had consented.
The General Secretary of the of the private bus operators union Anjana Pryangith has announced the bus fares would be raised from the 20th of this month.
He had quipped this information at press briefing held in Colombo. He also added that the increases in the bus fares already was on the cards it was delayed as the Minister in charge of private busses C.B Ratnayake had been postponing the requests made previously.
The secretary had received a telephone call from the Minister giving the green light for the bus fare hike.
