20 Lankans sent home from Christmas Island
Immigration Minister Brendan O'Connor says 20 Sri Lankan asylum seekers were sent home from Christmas Island yesterday. Mr O'Connor says they did not have a legal right to remain there.
He says all 20 were sent back involuntarily.
Mr O'Connor says since August last year, 963 Sri Lankans have been sent back.
Only about 200 of them have gone back voluntarily. (Source: ABC news)
