The tourists who come now eat ‘Roast’ bread have a plain tea with a piece of juggry
At a meeting held at the Habaraduwa Divisional Secretariat office the member of Patriotic Socialist Movement Member Ajith Kumara added that the tourists who visit Sri Lanka are those who eat ‘roast’ bread from a planked boutique and drink plain tea with a piece of juggry These type of tourists who come to Sri Lanka are of no avail for the tourist industry.
There are many tourists who come to Sri Lanka in this manner. They only count as tourists..What we need tourists who spend lavishly. Then only our tourist industry will rise up. They spend on spices only and live in ‘villas’ Many think that the tourists spend lavishly. It is not happening. for the industry to prosper.
What remains is their dirt .The money is sent back to their countries by other means .Something needs to be done prevent these occurrences. the member added,
