Hirunika Premachandra, taking a swipe at a media station owned by Duminda Silva's family, told court reporters yesterday, that many people prefer to see Malli than her clothes. "Rather than showing my dress, show me malli (younger brother, Duminda), since malli has not been seen for one and a half years," she said.
Pointing at her attire, Hirunika said, "Today, I am dressed in white. Yesterday I was dressed in a pink blouse, similar to this one. I did not walk into the Court naked." She alleged that more than her clothes, the viewers are interested to see the younger brother of the owner of the media channel. "I am telling them, show us malli, who was not seen for one and half years," she said.
On Wednesday, Hirunika was cautioned by the Magistrate to dress appropriately in Court.
