Three arrested over jewelry thefts

Three persons involved in several crimes including robberies have been arrested in the Mitiyagoda area along with a firearm. 

Police have uncovered information regarding five jewelry thefts and chain snatchings carried out by the suspects using motorbikes. 

Various stolen jewelry and two motorcycles have also been taken into custody, Mitiyagoda Police said.

The suspects were remanded until January 31 after being before the Balapitiya Magistrate.
