Private bus employees along the Padukka-Horana and Bandaragama-Kalutara routes have launched a
strike action.

Chairman of the Lanka Private Bus Owners' Association said that the protest is being carried out against a new road permit being issued for the Avissawella-Aluthgama route, in an illegal manner.

He noted that as a result of this, the buses which ply along Padukka-Horana and Bandaragama-Kalutara routes will face financial losses.
