COLOMBO MUSIC FESTIVAL 2012
The Colombo Music Festival aspires to be listed on the global calendar of events with other music festivals like WOMAO 'World of Music Arts and Dance'. The festival will cover over 4 days, in 16 locations with more than 100 artists from 17 countries taking part and will see 4 major international recording companies such as SONY BMG, Universal, World Wide Records and ‘The Fridge’ Dubai’ attending. “Other than just working with the so called western countries that are dominating the industry, now these big companies are looking in regions such as Africa and Asia for talent. So this is a big platform for our local performers to show their talent to the world,” said Spokesperson for the Colombo Music Festival, Mr. Arun Dias Bandaranaike.
