UC member wanted for sexual abuse
The child’s mother in her complaint to Aturugiriya police said she was away from home at the time of the incident and that her daughter was all alone in the house. Police said the suspect had gone missing after the incident they were looking out for him.
Meanwhile Mirihana police were also asked to keep a lookout for the suspect who is a resident of Mirihana. The victim was admitted to Homagama hospital for a medical examination.
Police officials are carrying out investigations under the direction of Women and Children’s Bureau OIC Inspector M.P Kapugoda and on the instructions of Mirihana Police OIC Kapila Senanayaka.(Muditha Dayananda)
