Efforts are made to make Hikkaduwa the best beach in South Asia
It is learnt that the authorities of the Sri Lanka Tourist Development Authority is making a lot of efforts to make the Hikkaduwa sea coast the most attractive and beautiful seas coast in the entire South Asia.
For a start the authorities have commenced a programme to demolish all unwanted and illegal structures, parapet walls along the sea coast in Hikkaduwa.
It is proposed and quipped by the Sri Lanka Tourist Development authority in order to attract tourists they are planning to introduce various types of sports and special tourist development programmes to attract tourists.
One advantageous situation is the coral area which is located only about 300 metres away from the sea coast.
