Vehicle registration fees increased

Commissioner General of Motor Traffic, S. H. Harischandra says that all provincial commissioners have been instructed to increase the vehicle registration fees with effect from March 01.

He stated that the relevant Gazette notification has been issued and that the vehicle registration fee has been increased by 10 per cent according to the 2013 budget. 

The new fee revision will take effect in the Western Province from May 02, said Shantha Kumara, Provincial Motor Traffic Commissioner, adding the relevant information was received from the Finance Ministry.
