Sri Lanka to build fuel stations in the Southern Expressway
Sri Lanka’s Southern Expressway which links Colombo and Galle within a short time, will get two fuel filling stations.
Cabinet of Ministers has approved the allocation of required land for two separate parties selected on a competitive basis to build the proposed fuel stations.
The land will be allocated on a 30 year lease period.
Accordingly, two blocks of land in the 44th Km, where the rest areas of the expressway are built would be allocated for the selected parties to build the fuel stations.
Sri Lanka’s Southern Expressway is the first such facility in the country.
